Hi everyone!

I know it has been a while, but today I am back with another blogpost about my adventures here in Italy! For the ones who don't know, at the moment I am studying a semester at the University of Padova in Italy. I already wrote one post about the city of Padova itself, which you can check out here.

Today I will tell you all about the city Verona. I have a lot of pictures because I have been twice in Verona already during my stay here in Italy. So I hope you enjoy the post and let me know if you have been in Verona already and what your favourite sight was!

#DutchieInItaly: First weeks in Padova

Hi everyone!

Today I am writing my first post in Italy! I am almost a month in Padova now and I am loving it so much. For those who do not know, I am studying a semester at the University of Padova in Italy. Padova is a big old city in the area Veneto and it has the second oldest university of Italy (Bologna is the oldest), so I'm not complaining at all! In this post, I will tell you about my first weeks here in Padova and show some pictures of this beautiful old city. If you're curious about my adventures, continue reading! Paris for the weekend

Hi everyone!
I hope you're all doing well. I know it has been a while again, but I have been so busy with my study and arranging everything for my exchange, I didn't have the time to blog. But good news, I passed my thesis and exams, which means I almost have my bachelor degree! I only need to go to Italy and pass my courses there and then I am done with my bachelor!
This weekend I went to Paris with my boyfriend. He gave this trip to me for my birthday in November, so sweet! If you know me, you know that I have been several times to Paris, so I have seen most of the touristic spots already. That is why we explored some more alternative areas in Paris this weekend, but of course, we had to visit the highlights again. A week in Périgord, France #part1

Hey guys!

A week ago I returned home from my vacation in France with my parents and little sister. We went to Périgord, which is part of the departement Dordogne. We have visited a few cities and villages during this week and they were all so pretty. It felt like walking in a magazine about France, so many cute alleys and houses. Berlin Diaries

In July I've been to Berlin & Prague with one of my best friends, Eline. Today I'm sharing my photos of Berlin with you! We both went for the second time to Berlin, the first time we went with school (blogpost here). We wanted to see some new things, and a bit more alternative places. That's why we visited the district Friedrichschain. Here you can find the Urban Spree, full with graffiti, biergartens and clubs. I loved it so much! Also, the food in this district is really cheap, so if you're on a budget, you should definitely visit this district. The Urban Spree is near to the U-Bahn/S-Bahn station Warschauer Platz (the same station as for the Berlin Wall).

Budapest, you stole my heart

In May I've been to Budapest for 8 days with my study association. Budapest is one of a kind, it's not like any other city I've ever been to. Especially the architecture of this city, so beautiful! Besides the breath-taking buildings, it's also a very cheap city. I've spend less than 200 euros in 8 days, and I've been to fancy restaurants, cocktail bars and clubs, but for Dutch standards it was all so cheap! The only disappointment of this trip was the weather. I've heard so many stories of great weather in Budapest, but during our stay it was pretty cold and cloudy. Despite the weather, I've had an amazing week, with awesome people in a wonderful city!

In another post I will tell you all about my favourite hotspots of Budapest, but for now I'm showing you my favourite photos of this trip. Maybe after these, you'll understand why I've fallen in love with this city.

Madrid Highlights #2: El Retiro

Hey guys!

Today I'm showing you one of my favourite spots of Madrid. As you've probably read on the blog, I went to Madrid in June after my final exams. It's the perfect city for a long city trip and I'd definitely recommend going there.

I've already talked about my other favourite spot, the 'hipster area' Malasaña in this post and today I'm going to talk about the Buen Retiro Park, also known as El Retiro. It's one of the largest (and best-known) parks of Madrid and near to the Prado Museum (check out this post to find out more about this museum).
